Is there a reason why Vayama charges so much less? Is $1500+ a normal price for that route from mid to end of April? Some people have told me that prices for airfare to Europe can be cheaper to book in January.

I booked a trip back to Japan with Vayama last month, and it cost $1,375.80 including $628 in taxes. I had to cancel the trip last minute, and when I called Vayama last week they told me that I couldn't do anything at all - that the ticket was non-cancellable and non-changeable.
I booked through Vayama last weekend and noticed an issue with one of my flights. I emailed them but they took 3 days to get back to me so I just phoned them instead as its easier to sort things on the phone sometimes.
Vayama is a Scam, Same experience as some raised. International flight got cancelled because of COVID. Vayama has been making excuses for about 3 years for my ticket and my family members tickets refunds.
40 reviews. 65 helpful votes. Vayama is a scam; the worst. 13 years ago. I booked travel with the site for my son who was studying abroad. When he was supposed to return on December 18, the snow storms caused two of 3 flights to be cancelled and he missed his 3rd flight home. They did not help me rebook any flights for the return home.

I do not recommend Vayama's services. Very dishonest and unprofessional. I did a search and they offered the airfare for a price and I accepted, made the payment and received an email with the confirmation.
