17 Δεκ 2017 · The first vegetarian character to appear on a sitcom or drama is apparently one Professor Heywood Bradford in the episode "Gracie's Vegetarian Plot" (1 or 2 August 1951) of The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show (1950-1958).
A vegetarian was an individual who excluded any meat-based foods from their diets, either as a personal choice or as part of their culture. They were not to be confused with herbivores, whose natural diet consisted solely of plant-based foods.

Star trek has always been pro vegan, the Vulcans for instance are an entirely vegetarian (probably vegan culture). The underlying ideals Star Trek talks about, are all ideals that are congurent with our beliefs.

In TNG 4x12, The Wounded, O'Brien claimed that his mother used real, unreplicated meat when cooking.
I've been rewatching Star Trek(First time since going vegan) and I've noticed that it's VERY pro-Vegan. Let me explain. So I've started with Enterprise, as I'm going chronologically, but even now with (most)Vulcans at least being vegetarian, but I also don't remember this much rallying(?) before.
