I have a set of wheels on my Ogre with velocity Blunt 35 rims in 29”. They have made tough wheels that seal up nicely for tubeless. I would put them on par with Stan’s Flow rims - a bit heavier I think.
I spoke to Velocity and they are confident that although the Cliffhanger is designed to work with wider tires, they will work very well with the 38 width. Thanks for posting this, the fact that they offered good customer support helped push me over the edge.

These wheels never once went out of true in five years: even when the rim cracks appeared. Weakness: I have ridden a set of A23s for about five years, swapping them out for Ksyriums when I want a faster, more responsive ride.
18 Νοε 2014 · I think velocity's reputation/quality is equivalent to Stans. Both are widely used if there is some issue they are quick to make things right. I haven't used that grail, or know anyone that has one, but I do have the aileron. It's a very solid rim but it's not the lightest but neither am I at 220lbs.

31 Μαρ 2014 · Only issue was the nipples at the seam on both wheels were binding a bit. Had a slight hop at the seam which were simple to correct. Sidewalls at the seams are even and nearly invisible.
