The best songs on Slayer's "Undisputed Attitude" punk cover album were the Verbal Abuse tracks, period. Not that the rest of the selection offered was bad (the Minor Threat, Pap Smear and D.R.I. ones were highlights as well), but tracks like "Free Money", "Verbal Abuse" and of course the unforgettable "I Hate You" were absolutely spot on, easily topping the rest of the album.
With the lineup of Nicki Sicki, Joie Mastrokalos, Brett Dodwell and Gregg James, Verbal Abuse was signed by Fowl Records and in 1983 they recorded their first LP, Just An American Band, which was released early in 1984.
