Vestibular migraine can cause a range of different symptoms. Most people will only experience some of the symptoms. How severe symptoms are will vary from person to person. Dizziness or vertigo. The most common symptom reported by sufferers of vestibular migraine is vertigo.

Vestibular neuritis is an inflammatory disorder of the vestibular nerve that causes acute loss of vestibular function on one side. Clinically, this leads to a single spontaneous attack of spinning vertigo with nausea with nystagmus beating away from the affected side.
Around 40 per cent of migraine sufferers will experience vertigo or balance disturbances before an attack or as the main symptom – this is known as vestibular migraine. The word vestibular relates to the inner ear, which is important for our sense of balance.
