Go to Edit (Win), Adobe Acrobat (Mac) > Preferences > Page Display > Rendering > Uncheck 'Use page cache' > Click OK and reboot the application. Let us know how it goes.

I wasnt able to get a screen shot since I had to restart my computer. But the few times that I could open the program manager I saw a 63% use of memory which is insane!

  3. 14 Σεπ 2015 · Try emptying the TEMP folder. This may be the out of memory issue you have. Keep in mind that as you open a large PDF, any graphics that are expanded may make the size grow a lot in terms of memory requirements. Acrobat uses the TEMP folder for memory overflow as I recall and it is likely almost full.

  4. The only solution is to install an old version of Acrobat Reader. Unfortunately, this is only a very temporary remedy, as it is almost impossible to deactivate automatic updates. Will there be a patch in the near future to fix this problem?

  6. 13 Αυγ 2022 · Adobe Acrobat Reader uses the page cache feature that contributes to consuming a lot of memory space than in normal usage. You can try disabling this feature and see if it solves the problem. Navigate to Edit > Preferences > Page Display and then uncheck the Use page cache option.
