21 Ιουλ 2024 · You can only have one version of OS X/macOS installed before installing Windows. Windows must be installed to BIOS boot. You must use a Windows installer DVD. This must be a full installer DVD. In other words, the DVD cannot be an upgrade.
Put your Vista install disc in the drive reboot (boot from the disc) and select "repair my installation" or something like that and it should do it. I had to do it 2x once and then it fixed it. Good luck!
Once you remove a USB drive or CD from which the computer was trying to boot from and couldn’t, the error should disappear. After it disappears, consider changing the boot order from BIOS to make sure your PC boots from the hard drive and not from any other non-bootable drives next time.

In a minute or two you will get to the macOS recovery screen which will allow you to log into WiFi (if you are not already using ethernet) and reinstall macOS. Missing boot manager and no operating system found. I can't boot my 1 yr old Vista OS. It gets as far as the MS copyright screen with the traveling green bars, then reboots itself. If I try to boot from the Vista CD to do a repair all repair attempts fail.
The first step involves booting from the Vista DVD, and clicking "Repair your computer". Instead of letting Windows attempt an automatic recovery, or if the OS is not listed in the "System Recovery" screen, click "Next" to get to the manual System Recovery Options.
