Big Stick Surfing Association’s legendary “old board, no cords” surf contest, Logjam! will be held at Pleasure Point, Santa Cruz, CA. It is the longest -running classic longboard surfing contest in the world with over 100 competitors ranging in age from 7 to 70+ from all over California.
As the birthplace of mainland surfing, Santa Cruz is home to amazing talent and legends, and you can watch them “shred the gnar” at the following spots. Known by locals simply as The Lane, this West Cliff surf break is arguably the most iconic in the county.
Since 1987, The O’Neill Cold Water Classic has been northern California’s premier professional surfing event held at Steamer Lane in Santa Cruz. “The Lane” is perhaps the best spectator venue for a surf contest to be found anywhere in the world.
