  2. Use the PACER Case Locator if you are not sure which specific federal court the case was filed. You may also conduct nationwide searches to determine whether or not a party is involved in a federal case.

  3. Enter your case number including the dash as the username (xx- xxxxx), and then enter the last four digits of the primary debtor’s social security number as the password. Once you are signed in, you will see an accounting of all receipts into your case as well as all disbursements made to creditors.

  4. Use the Federal Court Finder to find a location. You may also access bankruptcy case records online through Public Access to Court Electronic Records (PACER). You will need to sign up for a PACER account to search for and view records online.

  5. For real-time case filings, search by the court where the case is filed. Use the Court CM/ECF Lookup to find the court's specific link or log into PACER and select the court name.
