29 Δεκ 2023 · I believe malwarebytes just sees the checking for updates / automatic download as some type of virus.
12 Μαΐ 2020 · An alternative is to pick an online scanner another company that you recognize as being reputable/trustworthy - and see if it that scanner also complains. If the evidence you find confirms that you had a false positive, and your product allows, you can (temporarily) add the suspect file to your scanner's exceptions.
The WT client runs on peer-to-peer connections to download files for an update. Sometimes it will try to connect to an IP address that was previously marked by your antivirus program (perhaps Malwarebytes?) for bad behavior, in which case you get a notice like this.
