Seniors, disabled individuals, and children (5-11 years) enjoy discounted fares, while little ones under 5 ride for free.
Provide unlimited Metrorail and Metrobus travel. Cover first $2.25 of fare on Metrobus Express and Airport Express routes. Do not cover bus fare on regional transit partners; add a 7-Day Regional Bus Pass to enjoy the convenience of unlimited rides on ART, DC Circulator, CUE, DASH, Fairfax Connector, TheBus, or Ride On.
Fares. Metro fares vary by time of day, trip distance (entry/exit stations), and type of payment. The prices indicated assume that the rider us using a SmarTrip card. Peak fares (weekdays 5:00am - 9:30am, and 3pm-7pm; weekends midnight - closing): $2.10 - $5.75. Off-Peak fares (all other times): $1.70 - $3.50.
