To assess a municipal water supply, a flow test at a fire hydrant lets them discover the residual pressure. This video offers a brief demonstration of how a flow test is conducted:

12 Ιαν 2024 · When new buildings are built, the Fire Code requires a water supply be provided to meet the fire flow for that building. Fire flow is defined as the “flow rate of a water supply, measured at 20 psi (137.9 kPa) residual pressure, that is available for firefighting.”
