Some of the highest and most voluminous waterfalls in the eastern United States are located in North Carolina. Many of the waterfalls in the state are located in Transylvania County, which is called "The Land of Waterfalls".
This small public park in nearby Newland features multiple cascades that create a 50-foot waterfall. It’s 11 miles from Sugar Mountain. Find several picnic tables and a footbridge in front of the lower cascades.
