I have entered my routers IP address into my browser and I just get a prompt telling me to download the MySpectrum app. I have done that and I see no options to change the wifi channels my router broadcasts on. I am using a modem and router provided by spectrum, router model is SAX1V1S.

To change router settings on Spectrum, connect to your network wirelessly or via Ethernet, find your router configuration page, log in with the username and password, locate the Wireless Settings page, set the new channel, and then reboot the router.
25 Ιαν 2023 · To change your Spectrum WiFi name and password, open a web browser and enter your router’s IP address into the address bar. Then sign in and select the band you want to change. Finally, type in your new password and network name under the Basic tab and click Apply .
28 Μαρ 2018 · The answer depends on the router. If you have a nice, quality router with updated firmware, "Auto" will do a quick scan for what channels have the least interference, and pick from the best option. If you have a cheap router, it usually defaults to channel 6 or 8 if you choose Auto.
7 Απρ 2021 · Go back to the Wi-Fi Analyzer and confirm the changes. In the 2.4 GHz band, our router is now alone on channel 5. On the 5 GHz band, we’re the only router on channel 48. So, we have changed our channels and the Wi-Fi performance will be better… until someone jumps on our channels.
