Definition. Language intervention is broadly defined as “instructional interactions designed to enhance language” (Weiss, 1993, p. 231). Language is described as a complex and dynamic system of conventional symbols that is used in various modes for thought and communication (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association [ASHA], 1982).
