The Lexa back tattoo is one of the few fandom tattoos that I actually enjoy. It’s interesting and aesthetic enough to work as a stand-alone piece without needing to know the reference, while still having special meaning for people who know the show.
However, since this tattoo was on Lexa's back, it might be a symbol from the original Eligius plans, designed by Becca/her company for the purpose of Eligius 3's mission and left printed somewhere in the Polis' temple/bunker.
