If you can subscribe online, you should be able to cancel online. If your credit card expires, they should end the service, not charge an expired card. You should be able to easily view and block auto charges at the credit card / bank level and set up alerts for them.
I called the hospital and they verified that some of their doctors collect their payments directly and use bill.com. Yes this is completely legit and is absolutely fine as the payment recipient. No need to ask for a different method of receiving payment.
