Therefore, greening our event is critically important to ensure sustainability development in event management by making responsible decisions during planning, organization and implementation of an event.
In this chapter we will look at sustainability; specifically we will focus on environmental sustainability (ES) and consider why ES is important in event management. Next we will outline the various roles and responsibilities for event managers in designing events in a more sustainable way.
