29 Ιουλ 2021 · When lunging, you stand in the middle and move with your horse's movements as it moves around you in a circle. Under the best conditions, you can lunge your horse in a lunging ring with a non-slip floor. The diameter of the lunging circle should ideally be 14-16 metres.

An overhead check is a way of attaching the lunge line over the top of your horse’s head by running it through the inside bit ring, up the side of his head and across his poll, and clipping it to the outside bit ring (facing outwards so it doesn’t rub his cheek).
