Many people have more than one platform. I use TD Ameritrade, Schwab, and Robinhood. I think they all have their limitations/good qualities, but Robinhood is just way too oversimplified. TDA tends to give me the best information up front, but overall Schwab is what I’d recommend the most.
Honestly if you cannot trade profitably which is 99% chance of being the case I’d say stay away. Download Sierra chart and pay for the data package from cme and sim trade a style your interested in until you can put up whatever numbers your focused on.
Basically you pay for data per exchange, like 15 for CME for example. And that's it. If you pay for the membership tiers monthly, your all-in rates get cheaper. So, the free tier, trading /ES takes $15/month for data and a round trip trade would cost 2.18 per side, or 4.36.
