Ecology: Some Definitions. The Science of Ecology. The world in which we live consists of living organisms and non-living structures. Often, relationships between organisms or between organisms and non-living structures are clearly visible.
24 Αυγ 2022 · One core goal of ecology is to understand the distribution and abundance of living things in the physical environment. Attainment of this goal requires the integration of scientific disciplines inside and outside of biology, such as biochemistry, physiology, evolution, biodiversity, molecular biology, geology, and climatology.
It is divided into ten (10) chapters covering areas of ecological concepts, ecosystems development, description of habitats, population ecology, community ecology, soil ecology, pollution & pollution control, ecological balance and modelling, and tutorial questions.
Abstract: Chemical ecology (CE) is an active, interdisciplinary field between chemistry and biology, which, stimulated by natural curiosity and possible applied aspects, has grown to its present position during the last 40-odd years.
