The training for the speedboat license consists of 6 hours of theory and 3 hours of practical training. The theoretical courses take place in the school’s offices, while the practical courses take place at sea on the school’s boat.
During our RYA practical powerboat courses in Greece you will learn to use a high speed motor boat. You will practice exercises in our marina and make short passages to harbours in the local area. In the evening you will return to our marina base.

No one starts with a 180 MPH catamaran or 120 MPH V-bottom as a “first” powerboat. Every accomplished, competent, responsible and above all safe performance-boat owner/operator started small and worked up.
First, become familiar with your boat and learn how much stopping distance is required to come to a complete stop safely when running at different speeds. Remember, boats don't have seatbelts and are subject to much more motion than land vehicles.
