a polite way of referring to the offensive word cunt : Very few TV networks actually use the C-word. Fewer examples. The roommates insult each other with liberal use of the c-word. At my age I find myself tutting over loitering teens in hoodies, or the c-word on the TV.
The so-called "C Word" has been described as "the most offensive word in the English language", but nobody has been able to tell me why. Additionally, the level of offense taken over this word appears to have risen dramatically over the past 10 years or so, and isn't really offensive in the English language as much as it is offensive in the USA.
