CONVERTING ZULU TIME TO LOCAL TIME. The NHC, Model Runs, NOAA satellites and other tools and organizations use Zulu Time or Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) as their time reference. Many weather websites and resources are stamped in Zulu time. To make the conversion to your local time, see the chart below.
Real-time and archive forecasts, analyses, climate re-analyses, reforecasts and multi-model datasets.

ECMWF's operational forecasts are produced from its "Integrated Forecast System" (sometimes informally known in the United States as the "European model") which is run every twelve hours and forecasts out to ten days.
The UKMO model runs every 12 hours and its output runs out to 3 days (72 hours) in 6 hours interval (6h to 48h) and 12 hours interval (48h to 72h), with a resolution about 125km (1.25º). This numerical model is run two times a day, using 0 and 12 UTC data; charts update begins at 3:50 and 15:50 UTC.
The HRES model is what is commonly referred to as 'ECMWF', or simply 'The European' or 'The Euro'. HRES is incorrectly called 'ECMWF' which is the abbreviation for the organization that developed and runs the model, The European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts.
