The Supreme Court (SC) resolved 3,975 judicial cases out of the 3,603 new cases filed in 2021 and 8,391 pending cases as of Dec. 31, 2020. This means that, for the first time since 2017, the SC had achieved, as of Dec. 20, 2021, a 110 percent clearance rate – total disposed cases in relation to new cases filed.
