A comprehensive survey of Twin Valley Lake, Iowa County, was conducted during the 2018 and 2019 season. The primary focus of this survey was to estimate abundance and size structure of Muskellunge and Walleye and assess relative abundance and size structure of other gamefish and panfish in Twin Valley Lake.
The Fisheries Management Information System (formerly FMDB) is a DNR system that holds statewide data on fisheries assessments, angler surveys, fish stocking, fishing tournaments, permits, investigations of fish die-off and more.
Fish Survey. In 2022, a fishing survey of Long Lake was conducted by Wisconsin DNR. The findings and opinion of Fisheries Biologist Craig Roberts are below. Largemouth Bass averaged 11.5 inches, similar to 2009 (11.9 inches) and above the 75 th percentile for Simple-Warm Clear lakes.

24 Ιουν 2024 · Dean Bortz: Here’s how the Wisconsin DNR fish teams conduct their lake surveys. Fyke, or box, nets are set right at ice-out to capture primarily walleyes, but the Wisconsin DNR crews handle all species found in the nets. As the water warms, the crews then shift the fyke nets to muskie spawning sites on the same lake.
