Use dolphin to convert the .rvz to .iso. Use wii backup manager to convert to .iso to .wbfs. To play the .wbfs on the wii use either wiiflow or usb loader GX. Both these homebrew apps require cios to run properly. Heres a guide on how to do that: https://wii.guide/cios
RVZ files work with the Dolphin emulator but not on real hardware. They also help save bandwidth for both you and the website hosting the files when downloading. If you are using real hardware, use Dolphin Emulator to convert the files to ISO (Guide) (Video Guide).
30 Ιαν 2021 · Somewhat recently, Dolphin came out with the ability to compress ROMs in a format called RVZ. This format is able to completely do away with almost all junk data in a GameCube or Wii disk image, leaving only the actual game data. On disk images such as the GameBoy Player Startup Disk, it brings the filesize from 1.4GB down to only 4.6MB.
The Megathread roms list is deleted and all other rom sites give me .7zip.001 files or even nkit.iso files. I'm looking for iso or wbfs files for wii. Any good links?
6 Φεβ 2023 · When using the Dolphin emulator for GameCube and Wii emulation, you can take advantage of a special compressed format known as RVZ. Converting to this file is super easy, as it can be done in the Dolphin GUI.
Though unless you're wanting to use them on a real wii (or need to use an old dolphin version for some odd reason), there's no good reason to convert them to ISO.
