29 Οκτ 2012 · I've been on the lookout for wood grips that don't add girth to my 92FS and haven't had much luck. I have a set of the nice Beretta walnut with medallions., but they REALLY add width to the grip. I tried Herrets and they to added much more width to the pistol as compared to the original plastic.
I've recently purchased a Beretta M9, and intend to keep it bone stock - with the exception of the grips. There are plenty of modifications I'm interested in, but I will be doing these more extensive upgrades with another Beretta 92 in the future. I'm looking to get into a good set of wooden grips.

13 Ιαν 2011 · Right answer. There is something about well-checkered wood grips that really sets a pistol apart. All of my SIG’s, 1911’s, and S&W revolvers sport wood grips. The grip, feel, and texture of a wood is unmatched by rubber or hard-plastic (sorry XDm’s – I still love you anyways!).
This is my Beretta M9 with Rosewood grips by Hogue. Some finishes are available through amazon, and others must be ordered through Hogue's site. I picked these up 4 years ago and they have held up really well :)
