An Elite controller is worth getting an extended warranty IMO. I've replaced at least 2 via an extended warranty(an Elite 1, and an Elite 2). I don't think you'll wear one out in the original warranty unless you are really hard on your controllers, but I wouldn't be surprised if you were able to take advantage of an extended warranty.

New “sebile” controller target date is May/June of this year, then console refresh in fall. I wouldn’t expect Elite 3 till sometime calendar year 2025 or later. Slide deck also calls out that new Elite line isn’t yet “funded” so they could potentially be banking on console sales from the refresh to help pay for that new line.
23 Σεπ 2022 · Yep. I've owned 5 different elite series 2 controllers now, and all of them have had the same issue with the left bumper in particular. The best fix for me is simply using some isopropyl alcohol on a Q tip and dabbing it around the button itself. This requires taking off the face plate of the controller and that's it.

If you have 5.0ghz wifi in your home, all the things connected to it are interfering with your controller connection. Trying to get everything except the xbox itself onto 2.4ghz wifi rather than 5ghz will solve the issue ...
25 Ιαν 2019 · Decent controller player (4.5KD) here, Ive been using the Elite for about 6 months now. The goal is to keep your thumbs on the sticks as much as possible while playing, so i use two paddles, one for the A button, and the other for B button.
Because Xbox makes so much money putting in a $2 joystick in a $200 elite series 2 controller and having them drift/break and sent out for service, that’s why Xbox makes so much money do this. Meanwhile the standard Xbox series X/S thumbstick cost less then 1$ in a $60-$70 controller that’s even weaker then the elites.
Any recent thoughts from people on Xbox Elite 2 vs Scuf Instinct Pro? I currently have both controllers but am in need of a new one as both have suffered ware. My Elite 2 is 2.5 years old and developed an issue with a top trigger after my dog chewed it. Bought the Scuf Instinct to replace it a year ago.

I do dabble in electronics design, but TBH haven't looked too much into the sensors that the analog sticks use. They seem to have a spring-loaded track ring that I assume is some resistive metal.. it seems pretty simple, so I imagine most stick drift issues would be ...
2 Φεβ 2022 · I am trying to switch my Xbox Elite Controller Series 2 between my PC and my Google home by double tapping the sync button as you can with Xbox Series X and S controllers. I have read that joining the insider program will give you access to this feature on older controllers (which I believe includes this controller).
