My positive experience with Xulane (the patch) Experience. I've been on the patch for 1.5 years. I feel like many people don't know about the patch, but I would consider it as an alternative for IUDs, implants, and the ring because it's also a place-and-forget method (up to a week at a time).

Xulane ( The Patch) Experiences. Hi, I just started Xulane last week to attempt to help my pcos symptoms not be so bad. I don't typically take hormonal birth control, but non hormonal will not help with pcos. What I have noticed since starting it is mild headaches, pretty much everyday.
I took the patch off at the end of the week and never reapplied another. No patch: 2022 - Present. After I ended my use of the patch, it did feel like my body had to readjust to it. I had withdrawal period blood for about 2 months after I ended my use of the patches and began having regular period blood again after.

I was on the patch for a year. The first 4 months, no side effects. Then they switched me from Xulane to Zafemy. (Zafemy is a whole separate issue and made me very ill. I know they say it’s an equivalent but there’s no way). I did go back on Xulane after 3 months or so but my body never reacted the same.
