17 Ιουλ 2015 · O Allah, O Bestower of blessings, bestow abundant prayers and peace upon Your slave and beloved, our Master Muhammad, the Prophet, the greatest blessing and upon his Family and Companions. Expand Your blessings upon me, bless me with gratitude for them and prevent them from disappearing.
In this verse, Muslims have been commanded two things: (1) Sallu alaihi; and (2) sallimu taslima. The word Salat when used with the associating panicle 'ala gives three meanings: (1) To be inclined to some body, to attend to him with love, and to bend over him; (2) to praise somebody; and (3) to pray for somebody.
Once the Prophet (ﷺ) came to us and we said, 'O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) ! We know how to greet you; but how to send 'Salat' upon you? He said, 'Say: Allahumma Salli ala Muhammadin wa 'ala `Ali Muhammadin, kama sal-laita 'ala all Ibrahima innaka Hamidun Majid.
27 Απρ 2014 · Two of the soundest ways to send blessings upon Prophet Muhammad which he taught his Companions are: 1- ‘Allahumma salli `ala Muhammad wa `ala ali Muhammad kama salayta `ala Ibrahim wa `ala ali Ibrahim, innaka hamidun majid. Allahumma barik `ala Muhammad wa `ala ali Muhammad kama barakta `ala Ibrahim wa `ala ali Ibrahim, innaka hamidun majid.’.
21 Δεκ 2009 · One can also say any duaa that sends peace and blessings upon him such as: Allahumma sali wa sallim alaa Nabiyyina Muhammad, O Allah send Your praise, prayers and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad. For other times such as in salah or on Fridays, one should say what the Prophet sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam taught us from the sunnah.

Sending abundant blessings (salawat) and peace (salam) upon the Prophet ﷺ is a way to show our gratitude towards him ﷺ. It is a demonstration of a believer’s love and veneration for the Prophet ﷺ, and it is also one of the most beneficial supplications that a person can make.
