24 Απρ 2008 · The FG-345 is an excellent guitar and finding one in mint condition makes you a very lucky guy. Forget about what anyone says about laminate vs solid; Yamaha made several laminate top guitars that sound stunning.
10 Δεκ 2017 · I have read that the FG series from the 70's had laminate tops, but the luthier told me that the spruce top to my FG-345 is, in fact, solid, showing me how the grain is consistent through the top. According to the serial number, my guitar was manufactured in March 1977.

4 Δεκ 2010 · Both models are exceptional and compare very favorably with the much-sought-after FG-180, but at a much lower price (almost half). I would also recommend some of the mid- to late-70s Taiwan models such as FG-335, FG-340 and FG-345.
