Yes, I know that using PT wood on horizontal surfaces is not recommended. However, this wood has failed in less than 4 years. My experience with YellaWood and their new "patented" pressure treating process is actually worse than the green color PT process that Lowes uses. With the green colored wood I got 10-15 years of useful life, not 4.

9 Φεβ 2022 · The main difference between Yellawood and pressure treated lumber is the chemical composition used during treatment. Yallawood has micronized copper preservatives and organic compounds, while pressure treated wood utilizes copper-based ones.
