We offer six Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) credentials for yoga teachers and educators. Currently, each credential requires adhering to Yoga Alliance’s shared Ethical Commitment and completing a minimum teacher training and yoga teaching hours.
After you complete your RYS 200 training, you will be able to register with us as an RYT 500. When you are ready, simply follow these steps to register: Go to www.yogaalliance.org. Select “Join” in the top right corner. Follow the prompts to create your account and submit contact information.
Registration is available at 4 different levels: RYT 200, E-RYT 200, RYT 500, and E-RYT 500. The E stands for experienced and indicates a certain number of hours teaching since the completion of teacher training.
Answer. To join Yoga Alliance and apply for a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) credential, you will need: An account on the Yoga Alliance website to go through the online registration process.
Answer. The requirement to hold the Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) credential includes training with and receiving confirmation from a Registered Yoga School (RYS) at the 200 or 500-hour level. An RYS 200 training is considered foundational.
From your new account dashboard, click on “Register Now” under Teacher Registration. Select your desired designation to show the registration Requirements for that designation. Enter your training program details: Select the designation of the training you completed.
