We received quotes from our hvac tech and prices are the same for these two units with these specs: York - 14.3 SEER and 2.5 tons ... and Coleman - 13 SEER and 2.5 tons. The York unit was physically too big for our space which is why he offered us the Coleman unit. Wondering if anyone can explain to me why a smaller unit with lower SEER costs more?
