So recently, out of nowhere, my 360 slim stopped reading discs and gave me the infamous open tray error. Today I had tried pretty much everything I could find on the web but to no avail, nothing I could find worked.
The issue with the tray sticking is generally caused by the dvd rom drive belt, which will either need cleaned (along with the pulley wheel) and then tested. If the problem persists you'll need to replace the dvd rom drive belt. There's also plenty of phat 360 "teardown" videos available online.
