A Z-drive is a type of marine propulsion unit. Specifically, it is an azimuth thruster. The pod can rotate 360 degrees allowing for rapid changes in thrust direction and thus vessel direction. This eliminates the need for a conventional rudder.
Marine Propulsion Solutions Group is recognized as one of the world’s leading Z-Drive Propulsion Systems Manufacturer and introduces its unique Direct Engine Drive and Electric Podded Rotatable Propulsion Units for all types of Marine vessels.
HYDRAULIC Z-DRIVES for FLEET BOATS. Thrustmaster’s hydraulic azimuthing Z-drive thrusters are especially suitable for fleet boats. A hydraulic Z-drive consists of a high-thrust, fixed pitch propeller on a husky propeller shaft directly coupled to Thrustmaster’s exclusive podded hydraulic motor.
18 Απρ 2019 · The Z-drive is suitable for medium-sized boats with engine powers up to 400 hp. Higher powers are entrusted to other modes of propulsion. Uses of the Z-Drive. The Z-Drive offers increased performance and is particularly suitable for fast boats with a planing hull.
Another method that can be used to access the Z drive is to log into the UT Virtual Labs and access the folders as if you were using an on-campus machine. If you are not seeing the folders you need, it means you do not yet have access to the folder.
The 2-speed (TS) series transmissions have been devel-oped for applications, where optimum acceleration, safety and maneuverability are determining factors. These 2-speed, power-shift, reverse reduction marine transmissions are equipped with a planetary step-up gear on the power input side and electric shift from first to second speed.
ZF shifts up a gear: its new 2-speed electric drive for passenger cars integrates an advanced electric motor with a shift element and appropriate power electronics. The improvement in energy conversion efficiency compared to previous e-drives extends the driving range for each battery charge.
