6 Ιουλ 2020 · As the Z-19 is built from the French AS365/Chinese Z-9, it shares roughly the same tail unit structure and engine placement - the key defining physical feature of the Z-19 being its stepped cockpit and slim fuselage design.
The Z-19 light attack and reconnaissance helicopter features a conventional, stealthy design integrating a trimmed forward fuselage and a tandem cockpit. It also has a low acoustic signature and can execute operations under difficult weather and environmental conditions.
The Z-19's low attack characteristics ensured it had an armoured cockpit for the crew and crash-proof seats for worst-case scenarios. The Z-19 is powered by 2 Zhuzhou Aero Engine Factory WZ-8A turboshaft engines - the same as the Z-9B series, and a copy of the French Turbomeca Arriel turboshaft engine.

The Harbin Z-19 is a modern light reconnaissance and attack helicopter of Chinese origin. The Z-19 fills the role between the Z-9W series of armed utility helicopters and the heavier and larger Z-10 used as a dedicated attack helicopter.
