I’m afraid I have to admit that, for more than ten years, I’ve been using z-index without really understanding it. z-index is a CSS property that is used to position elements above or below one another.

18 Μαΐ 2018 · By using z-index on positioned elements, we can change the default stacking order. When applying certain CSS properties, an element can form a stacking context. Z-index values only have a meaning within the same stacking context. For more information on z-index, I recommend this article. I got a lot of inspiration from it when writing this.
