Beautiful temple in the middle of a city. It is open for public service. Perfect for anyone who is interested in cultivating inner peace and learning about meditation. There is also an option for a short term stay at the Sangha House if you are interested in deepening your practice.
Every Sunday we offer public services at 10 am ($10 suggested donation). We have daily, weekly practice schedules for members. We also offer introductory meditation courses and retreats throughout the year. Rev. Sanha is the current Temple Director and resident teacher.

Shōganji Zen Retreat is a small, modest, rural Zen Buddhist temple currently headed by Rinzai Zen monk, Jiho Kongo. Shōganji opened it’s doors to the public in 2004 in order to allow foreigners to experience authentic Zen temple life in rural Japan.
