SECTION 7. HANDLING AND STORAGE Precautions for Safe Handling: Zinc ingots suspected of containing moisture should be THOROUGHLY DRIED before being added to a molten bath. Ingots may contain cavities that collect moisture. Entrained moisture will expand explosively when immersed in a molten bath and spatter molten metal out of the bath.

7. Handling and storage Handling Use only under a chemical fume hood. Handle under an inert atmosphere. Do not allow contact with air. Do not allow contact with water. Wear personal protective equipment/face protection. Avoid dust formation. Avoid contact with skin, eyes or clothing. Avoid ingestion and inhalation.

Handling: Wash thoroughly after handling. Remove contaminated clothing and wash before reuse. Use only in a well-ventilated area. Do not allow water to get into the container because of violent reaction. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Avoid ingestion and inhalation.
Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. Keep away from food, drink and animal feeding stuffs. Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product. Remove and wash contaminated clothing and gloves, including the inside, before re-use. Wash hands before breaks and after work. 7.2.
