Zombie Horse Spawn is a minimalistic mod which allows zombie horses to spawn with a zombie riding it. Whenever a zombie spawns, it has a chance to be spawned as a rider. You can configure it to only spawn on the surface and if it should burn in daylight.

Optional settings to make zombie horses a hostile mob (enabled by default) and to prevent undead mobs from burning in sunlight (disabled by default). Zombie Horsemen is a Minecraft datapack that introduces a new surprise event similar to the Skeleton Trap. When triggered, a zombie riding a zombie horse, equipped with an iron helmet, iron axe, and shield, will spawn to challenge players.
Main article: Riding. Once a horse is tamed and saddled, the player can control it with directional controls, jump, and the mouse. The player dismounts using the dismount control. Like riding other entities, it is impossible for a player to use a nether portal or end portal while on a horse.
This datapack aims to recreate Skeleton Horse Trap and add a brand new Horse Trap called "Zombie Horse Trap" in vanilla minecraft. It supports minecraft versions 1.16.2 to 1.21.3.
