The fine feels amazing on bare feet and i love it. I found out that coarse bladed zoysia exists by seeding a large area and got a very different looking grass to what i was expecting. Both make good lawn grass, but i greatly prefer the fine. It is sod or plugs to get that, all the seeds are coarse.
1 Μαρ 2010 · Plugs. Here at Zoysia Farms, we believe in the power of plugs. Although plugs require more time to fill in than seed, the success rate is virtually 100%. Even more so, they require less maintenance overall. You don’t have to water often, and the grass isn’t light sensitive. The grass is thick and tough enough that erosion isn’t a problem.
Zoysia and Bermuda grass are both warm-season grasses and require similar maintenance. Around the Midwest, zoysia grass is popular at golf courses but not so much for homeowners. However, there are most definitely pros and cons of warm-season grasses.

From plugs, it can take 2 growing seasons or longer to get fully established. Medium resistance to insects and disease. Most varieties and cultivars are only available as plugs or sod, making it more expensive to install.
