27 Φεβ 2018 · History of 4L60E changes. 1993- Went from 4 to 6 bolt extension housing. Had torque converter. 1996- Removable bellhousing added. This allowed greater adaptability in engines that could be bolted to the 4L60E; 1998- LS series of engines was introduced. 300mm torque converters and 30-spline input shafts were added.
5 Μαΐ 2011 · As simply as I can, yes there is a difference and you will find this out with further searching. 4.8L/5.3L/6.0L 4L60 and 4L65 transmissions are different in a few ways compared to the 4.3/5.0/5.7 style 4L60E. At 1300rpm's would you rather have 10 extra hp or 10 extra lb-ft of torque? i have done a ton of searching, and havent found too much.
