Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) is the airport authority that owns and operates Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Van Nuys Airport (VNY) for the city of Los Angeles, California. LAWA also owns and manages aviation-related property near the Palmdale Regional Airport (PMD).
As the aviation authority for the nation's second largest city and hub of one of the world's most populous metropolitan areas, Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) is faced with the challenges of providing an airport system to serve a major portion of the Southern California market.
Terminal 4. The $1.6 billion modernization of Terminals 4 and 5 will include a unified departure hall and a new south concourse in Terminal 4 with additional space for hold rooms, concessions, restrooms and a bus gate that will serve both domestic and international traffic.
