Alaska Law Enforcement Training is a seventeen week course providing instruction in criminal investigation, police procedure, laws, and physical skills. This program meets the requirements of the Alaska Police Standards Council which certifies officers in Alaska.
The Alaska Law Enforcement Training (ALET) Program fulfills the requirements to be certified as a municipal police officer or an Alaska State Trooper with the Department of Public Safety. Each course is an intense 17 weeks long.
The Law Enforcement Academy prepares students for a career in law enforcement in the state of Alaska. Alaska Police Standards Council certification will allow qualified candidates to work as a commissioned officer in any of approximately 65 state and municipal law enforcement organizations.
The ALET program meets training requirements of the Alaska Police Standards Council for employment as Alaska State Troopers, municipal police officers, fire marshals, airport safety officers, and numerous other sworn law enforcement positions within the state of Alaska.
