I work from home and mainly afk'd weekdays before & during work so I averaged about 50 hours per week. XP rates varied between 15-17k/hr. Gear: full prospector with Varrock armor 4, expert mining gloves, & a charged glory.
9 Μαρ 2023 · Amethyst darts for blowpipe. Pick which of the above two based on your equipment choices and use. You're liable to have a lot of rune arrows from CG and can potentially make rune darts to supplement your use, but you'll definitely want amethyst in some situations since dragon only just isn't sustainable.

30 Ιαν 2021 · Dragon arrows are 664 gp and amethyst arrows are 151 gp. So you're paying 500gp for .2 dps increase. Hardly seems worth it. Edit: you'll cover your cost either way so up to you. Idk about gp efficiency but D arrows is more fun and you get more dark totem pieces for more clues and Skotizo kills. I only use dragon.

With lightbearer and the preserve prayer, mining amethyst is viable at level 90 at the cost of slow prayer drain. 100% spec is restored in 150 s while preserving a +2 boost can last 180 s with the perfect dragon pickaxe spec timing. I hope the ring is not to uncommon.
8 Σεπ 2022 · Huge difference between amethyst and addy, currently using them on hydra with blowpipe seeing much quicker kills. Amethyst is a lot easier to maintain than rune darts as well, the requirements for amethyst may seem high but they are definitely worth it. (If you haven’t got bowfa) Reply. Equilities. • 2 yr. ago.
27 Ιαν 2022 · I really liked mining amethyst, I did it from 92-99 because it was easy to log in and mine a few ores when I had a few minutes to spare. Does anyone recommend similar training methods for other skills in terms of pace and ability to afk?
Amethyst is like making cannonballs. If the alternative is not playing then it's very worth it, but if the alternative is doing the content with rune then amethyst is inefficient. Personally I use amethyst darts and arrows because I like to save rune bars for alchs and I don't like gutting my t bow dps. 15. Reply.
26 Νοε 2020 · With ava’s accumulator the most that using amethyst arrows could cost per hour is 84k. You tell me if it’s worth it for you based on how quickly you can make money. use rune and msb. Unlocking Amethyst was one of the biggest disappointments I've had in OSRS. People kept praising it as a great afk method that also makes money akin to Zeah bloods but when I finally got 92 mining I realized that the people thinking it's afk are probably the ones who think speedrunning inferno while doing 3t4g with 7 alts at the same time is afk.
