24 Σεπ 2023 · I do have a Spot Meter V (bought in Whitehorse, Yukon in 1976, still working well) and a couple of MXs. I'm not Ansel Adams, though. I've read Ansel Adams' autobiography and a couple of biographies as well as his technical series. No mention of using Pentax 35mm gear.

Ansel Adams used one like this for his zone system! This meter is designed to be used with such a system, or at least to be conscious of the principles of it. But modern DSLRs offer a spot metering option anyway, although probably not as accurate as this device.
