Attorney Griggs is committed to community service throughout Georgia. He was elected President of the Georgia State Conference of the NAACP in April of 2022. He is also the President of the Atlanta Chapter of the NAACP and is also the former Third Vice President of the State Conference of the Georgia NAACP.
The Georgia NAACP was founded in 1917, following the success of a local NAACP branch in Atlanta established in 1913. This was a critical time in American history, marked by institutionalized racism, segregation, and racially motivated violence.
