29 Δεκ 2014 · Autolite Heat Ranges - The larger the last digit in the part number, the hotter the plug is. Example a AR3935 (good street/strip plug) is hotter than a AR3932 plug which is very cold used for lots of nitrous.
The heat range of a spark plug refers to its ability to manage heat. The ideal heat range maintains the spark plug's tip at the perfect temperature to burn off deposits without causing damage. Different engine designs require different amounts of this heat transfer.
* Compared to previous Autolite Racing® Spark Plug Autolite ® is America’s Best Selling Spark Plug! • New Yttrium-Enhanced Alloy enables up to 8% reduction in sidewire temperature for improved durability and less risk of pre-ignition* • Cut back ground electrode for better ignitability of the flame kernel
11 Μαΐ 2018 · The key to a heat range selection is related to selecting a plug that will efficiently burn-off carbon deposits from the center ceramic during normal use of the engine. So for a normal, street-driven engine, that 3924 recommendation is a great place to start.
The webpage provides a heat range conversion chart for Autolite spark plugs.
